Taking pictures is not just the challenge to create a beautiful image — it is the pleasure to discover the world around me. I am always looking for interesting and original subjects to capture.
Driven by the curiosity of new cultures and new places, I've been travelling around the world, using the lens of my camera to capture its beauty. When I arrive in a new environment, different from our modern and alienating cities, I'm quickly recognised by the locals as the strange element, sometimes rising curiosity, other times just bothering those who have had bad experiences with aggressive tourists.
The best way I have learned to be accepted is to wait until everybody becomes familiar with my presence. At that moment, when I'm almost invisible to the eyes of the people, I start shooting — looking for the right combination of unique moments and perfect light.
Once I am able to be fully immersed within the environment I am rewarded. I feel I am living, and I am happy. My passion for photography exists in these moments.
